A Christmas in Oregon

Before I get into our Christmas in Oregon I just want to post a picture of my families beautiful house all decorated for Christmas.  They got a real Christmas Tree this year! I am so jealous! I can't wait till we have our own home to put a Christmas Tree in. Before heading to Oregon we got to go see the Temple lights in Salt Lake... Our Christmas in Oregon was a lot of fun. We ended up doing a lot of things during our week and a half stay.  On Christmas Eve we had a fun family dinner that even included Christmas crackers(as in those things that have toys in the toilet paper rolls and are wrapped). They all had Australian Christmas Crowns in them also.  My favorite day of the year has finally come... Christmas!!! This is my first Christmas away from home, I was sad at first, but the Nelson's kept me pretty busy to help me now think about it.   Everyone for the most part woke up at the same time, so we all went down stairs and decided to open up

We Did It...

I am not going to lie, graduation snuck up on me! One minute I am sitting in my High School English class and the next minute I am sitting in my cap and gown at my college graduation. I remember being told in High School by my parents to cherish every moment in High School and never wish for it to go by fast, especially in your senior year. Well you can probably guess what I did... I wished it away. I wanted High School to go by so fast. I felt that once I was out of High School, that that is when my life would begin. Oh how my parents were so right. Once I got into college I yearned to get my High School years back. Not that I wasn't having fun or learning what I was passionate about, I was missing the carelessness that you could have in High School and the group of friends to call up and hang out with, but I mostly missed the sports and all the teams I was a part of. So in college I decided I would try to take in every moment and become passionate in my school work and never t

Two Down and Eternity to Go

This year we decided to do something simple for our anniversary  All I knew for this anniversary is that we were going to eat somewhere in downtown Salt Lake.   To my surprise I have the most brilliant husband ever because he took me to my most favorite restaurant ever!!    Cheesecake Factory!  Don't ask me why, but it is the best restaurant ever! I know you might be thinking.  "wow this girl is crazy",  but just trust me nothing can beat The Cheesecake Factory.   My favorite's there are:  Avocado eggrolls and sweetcorn tamale cakes for appetizers.   For the dinner plate their garlic noodles with shrimp and some parmesan on top.  Then of course for dessert I love love love there ultimate red velvet cheesecake and their Oreo one is pretty good as well. Anytime we go somewhere new and they have a cheesecake factory we have to go.   It is my goal to go to as many as I can in my lifetime.  So far we have Tigard(OR), Boise, Salt Lake City,

The Nelson Family is Moving to Utah

Yup that's right we are moving to West Kaysville, Utah  and we couldn't be more excited to be Utards!  We live close to all the new shops in Farmington,   so we there are a lot of things to do by us.   There are shopping centers, restaurants, a park that has concerts almost every weekend in the summer, car shows once a month and the front runner is there.   We really love the location we are so excited to go exploring.   We also have so many bike paths by us  & if you know us we LOVE to go on bike rides.  This might come to you as no surprise, sense every mormon practically ends up in Utah anyways, but it also could be because the economy in Utah is doing pretty well. Everywhere you go in Utah you see help wanted sign in every store!! No joke people, if you need a job come to Utah there are ample job opportunities. Michael and I however were brought to Utah because of the family business.   Let me tell you we were so excited with how thin
