Opal Creek

We have wanted to go on a back packing trip for a long time now, so this summer we finally made plans to.  Granted it was not a very far back packing trip, but you need to start somewhere right?  We figured we better start small before we can go bigger.  Anyways we had an amazing time on our trip.  We went to a place called Opal Creek in Oregon with Cooper and Jen Trost.  The hike was  about the three miles to the spot we picked to camp out in.  I think we got the best spot out of all the places you could stop at.  This is because right below us was a river that was a few feet off the trail.  This river was the most beautiful river I have ever seen!  It was so clear you could see every little rock in the water. Also the main reason we went to this place is because it had what we called a butt slide.  There was literally a slide made from the water rushing down. Let me tell you the water was soooo cold(this is because it was glacier water run off) I could only get half my body in the whole time.  It was freezing, but this slide was so fun! We have some pictures and video's that turned out pretty good, so I will post those too.  Once we got done playing in the water and sliding down the butt slide, we immediately got a fire going and took off our wet close because we were so cold.  We had a lot of fun making our food and have smores after.   We are those kinds of people that love to just sit by the fire and talk about good old times.  If we could do that every night that we be the best. The next day we went "swimming" again, ate lunch, and then packed up to headed back home.

On hour hike back home we stopped at this one spot that we saw a lot of people coming out of the day before and oh my gosh it was so beautiful.  I will post those pictures at the end of all the butt slide ones. Because the water was so clear hear that the pictures look amazing! I will stop my rambling on about this amazing place now and let you see these amazing pictures of the place.

THINGS I LOVE

I feel it is so important to fall in love with as many things as we can, but to also fall in love with as many people as we can. As I have gotten older I have started to love things I did not care about when I was younger. I have grown to appreciate what my Heavenly Father has given to me on this Earth. and I have learned that when you love, you serve others. Which is the pure love of Christ...  and that is what will bring true happiness into your world. I am going to make a list throughout my life of things that I have fallen in love with. I want to be remembered as someone who loved everything and everyone. I want my kids to be able to know what I loved and that serving and loving everything is one of the  greatest gifts we have to become truly happy in this world. .......... Super Bowl

For the Super Bowl this year we are tagging a long with Ben and Rachel and headed to Rachel's mom's house in Heber for the weekend. On Saturday we went to the Ice Castles that were in Midway, which touches Heber, so we decided it would be a good idea to go because towns get selected to host the Ice Castles and this is the 3rd time midway was selected, so we thought we better go because it might not come back again. Once we got there we had to hop into a huge line that did go pretty fast but while we were waiting there were some guys juggling fire torches and also two guy carving ice sculptures, the two they was working on were the seattle Seahawk's hawk and the Denver Bronco's Bronco.  I was really cool to watch.  Once we got in to the Ice Castle we were frozen, we definitely did not dress right for the weather and we went at night so it was even more cold, but it was so cool because they had lights shinning on the ice and it would change different colors too.  Here ar...

HIKING THROUGH THE NARROWS

Our camping trip down in Zions was amazing! I had never been down in Southern Utah, so I was very excited to go and explore. Our first stop was Cedar City. We gotten in pretty late so we just found a campsite and went to bed. We got up pretty early the next morning to find our next campsite and to hike the narrows. Once we got our campsite all set up at our new location in ------ we changed and headed to Zions . I will say there is nothing in Southern Utah, but yet it is so beautiful. When we finally got into Zions we road the bus up to the beginning of the narrows. Here are pictures of our amazing experience in where I think is the most beautiful place in Zions. The Crew.   Hiking water shoes!!  Cooper being funny in the water. It looks like a dead person floating down the river. The last adventure in the Narrows was building a rock pyramid.   After our wonde...
