Spring is in the Air

I have decided that Spring is an evil season! It teases you with warm sunny days to then follow with two weeks of freezing rain and wind! I am grateful however for those days that there is warm sunshine.  It's a love hate relationship.
We try to take advantage of those warm days and do something fun outdoors.  Our first activity outdoors was a hike up to a waterfall in Ogden/Layton area called Adams Canyon.  It was a 3.7 mile hike round trip, so it was perfect for a starter hike to get back into it. There are also some camping spots along the way, so we will probably go camping up there sometime. Such a pretty place, so happy we found it.

Our next adventure this Spring was The Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It was so pretty and there were so many different kinds of Tulips it was amazing. If you are ever around the Salt Lake Area at this time the Tulip Festival is a must.  It was so pretty and so much fun.  They had so many activities for kids also.

THINGS I LOVE

I feel it is so important to fall in love with as many things as we can, but to also fall in love with as many people as we can. As I have gotten older I have started to love things I did not care about when I was younger. I have grown to appreciate what my Heavenly Father has given to me on this Earth. and I have learned that when you love, you serve others. Which is the pure love of Christ...  and that is what will bring true happiness into your world. I am going to make a list throughout my life of things that I have fallen in love with. I want to be remembered as someone who loved everything and everyone. I want my kids to be able to know what I loved and that serving and loving everything is one of the  greatest gifts we have to become truly happy in this world. .......... Super Bowl

For the Super Bowl this year we are tagging a long with Ben and Rachel and headed to Rachel's mom's house in Heber for the weekend. On Saturday we went to the Ice Castles that were in Midway, which touches Heber, so we decided it would be a good idea to go because towns get selected to host the Ice Castles and this is the 3rd time midway was selected, so we thought we better go because it might not come back again. Once we got there we had to hop into a huge line that did go pretty fast but while we were waiting there were some guys juggling fire torches and also two guy carving ice sculptures, the two they was working on were the seattle Seahawk's hawk and the Denver Bronco's Bronco.  I was really cool to watch.  Once we got in to the Ice Castle we were frozen, we definitely did not dress right for the weather and we went at night so it was even more cold, but it was so cool because they had lights shinning on the ice and it would change different colors too.  Here ar...

HIKING THROUGH THE NARROWS

Our camping trip down in Zions was amazing! I had never been down in Southern Utah, so I was very excited to go and explore. Our first stop was Cedar City. We gotten in pretty late so we just found a campsite and went to bed. We got up pretty early the next morning to find our next campsite and to hike the narrows. Once we got our campsite all set up at our new location in ------ we changed and headed to Zions . I will say there is nothing in Southern Utah, but yet it is so beautiful. When we finally got into Zions we road the bus up to the beginning of the narrows. Here are pictures of our amazing experience in where I think is the most beautiful place in Zions. The Crew.   Hiking water shoes!!  Cooper being funny in the water. It looks like a dead person floating down the river. The last adventure in the Narrows was building a rock pyramid.   After our wonde...
