AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT

Every Christmas sense Michael and I got married we have not been able to get a Christmas tree
because of school and not being at our apartment for the holidays.

When we moved to Oregon we new we were spending Christmas with Michaels family this year,
so we got to get a Christmas tree!! 

I was so excited to finally have a Christmas tree.
We obviously still don't have a lot of decorations for it, but that will definitely grow through out the years.

Ladies and Gentlemen....

Our First Christmas tree!!


I was very proud of it and had the light on every night!!

This Christmas was pretty special for Michael and I.

On top of getting our first Christmas Tree 
I just happened to be around 20 weeks pregnant right before Christmas,
which meant we got to find out the sex of our baby!!!

I could not contain my excitement.

Here in this photo I am at 18 weeks and we get to find out what our baby is at 20 weeks,
so just in time for Christmas.


I am a very impatient person, so to keep me busy I looked up so many ways to reveal the gender of our baby.

I had so many ideas, but because of Christmas I wanted to do something with a present.

Here is what I came up with thanks to Pinterest.

When we went to our ultra sound appointment I brought a box with 2 ornaments in it.
One was pink
and the other was blue.

Once the nurse came and got started I asked her if she would not tell us the gender,
but that if she could leave the room and through away the ornament color 
that did not match the gender of our baby.

Luckily she agreed to do this for us.

The rest of the appointment was so amazing,
the nurse said our baby was showing off, so we got to see some really great images.

Getting to see our baby move around and to see the babies face and body was
one of the greatest experience ever!

Not going to lie I did shed a few tears.
I just could not believe that that is what I was creating inside of me.
It was so breath taking.

After the appointment and on our way home,
I will say it took everything in me to not peek and see what we were having!

and we were not going to be able to see what we were having for a couple of days!
This is because we wanted to open it with family and had to work around some schedules.
It was totally worth the wait though!

And now finally for the reveal!!!! 

For some reason I was so nervous to open that present.
I new that no matter what the gender was that I was going to love that baby unconditionally,
but I was still so nervous.

Michaels guess was a girl and mine was a boy.

Kicking our summer off right.

Summer is officially here! My favorite season has finally arrived. There is no better way to celebrate the first weekend of summer then camping! Michael and I love camping. Their is just something about campfires, sleeping under the stars, and s'mores  that get me excited to camp. This weekend we camped in Provo canyon with some friends that are going to BYU. Once we got camp all set up and the fire going this little guy decided to pay us a visit. Not going to lie I thought it was a bear sneaking up on us at first. I was scared out of my mind, but then he stuck his head up and I felt a lot better. After making some yummy s'mores and relaxing by the fire we got in the cars and headed to squaw peak to  look at the beautiful lights from on top of the mountain. You can see all of Utah Valley from up there. Everyone knows that if you are looking to get a goodnights rest  that camping is not what you want to be doing. ...

OUR HOSPITAL STAY

Throughout my pregnancy I was continually told how everyone was  so excited to get home from the hospital after delivering... So I was expecting that I would be that way too. They told me that they hated how the nurses would have to come in and check on you every hour and wake the baby to check the babies vitals also. and I understand, that could get very frustrating.... Some people told me the food was horrible, and the nurses were mean and would not help out much. That basically they just treated you like another patient and didn't care that this was your special moment with your new baby.   So needless to say I was kinda nervous for this hospital stay.   I did not want to have that terrible of a time. ............... Well my hospital stay turned out very different from what I was expecting.  My nurses were absolutely amazing  the food was fabulous the pediatricians were so kind the service was impeccable and ...
