OUR LOVE STORY

My third semester at BYU-Idaho started in September of 2010
When signing up for classes I noticed I had some room in my schedule to take a stress free class,
so decided to take a beginning basketball class.

Mostly because I wanted to get back into playing &
to also have something active added into my schedule.

Everyone knows that during every first day of class you have to check out all the cute boys
to see who could potentially be cute to date... Am I right??

So of  course while the teacher was splitting us up into teams,
I scan the room to see if there are some cute boys in the class that I could get put on a team with.

My teacher finally got to my name and put me on a team.
As I walked over I noticed one of the only cute guys in my class was put on my team!!

We all introduced ourselves to each other and then started to play.
Or team dominated! We won every game of course.

Once class got out I had to sprint to get changed to get to my next class.

I never got to talk to the really cute guy in my basketball class
all I new about him was,
his name is Michael and he is an AMAZING basketball player.

My goal was to try to talk to him during the next class.

When I got to class the next day I noticed he was standing across from me
and I could tell he was trying to get put on my team again.
It worked and we were on the same team.

This happened for a few weeks, we would talk a little, warm-up with each other,
do the drills with each other, and try to get on the same team as each other.

I started to think that maybe we were just destined to be
friends because he was still not asking me out...

Well little did I know, I guess he actually really did like me but was just to nervous to ask me out...

One of his roommates was also crushing on a girl in one of his classes,
so they both made a bet to ask out the cute girl in their class

On October 7th 2010 Michael finally got up the courage to ask me out on a date!

He asked if I wanted to make dinner with him at his place tomorrow....

I wanted to cry.

Of course the day he asks me out is the day I am leaving for Washington
for my cousin Trevor's homecoming.

So I told him that I couldn't because I was leaving for the weekend.

but he was set on going on that date, so he asked if I could do it that night.
Luckily I had nothing going on so I said yes.

That night we walked from campus to his place and made dinner together and got to know each other better.  We even made a list of thing we wanted to do together.

It was a lot of fun, but later I got a text from a former guy I was crushing on and he wanted me to come see him before I left for the weekend.  I felt bad, but I told Michael I needed to get home and pack.... When really I was ditching him for another guy,

But you need to under stand this other guy I had liked forever.
He put me in the friend zone, and said when he was ready he would date me
and of course I fell for that and stuck around.

When I left for my trip the next day, Michael did not stop texting me the whole weekend...
and I never stopped texting him.

This other guy that I was waiting around for started to fade into the back ground.

The second I got back from my trip Michael picked me up and took me to the sand dunes
with his friend Ben and his Fiance Rachel for a bonfire with s'mores.

Once we got back from the sand dunes we did not want to separate, so we went to the park got a blanket out and watched the stars.

while sitting there and watching the stars Michael leaned in and kissed me.

Yes folks on our 2nd official date we kissed.
and I wouldn't have changed it for anything.

right then and there I new I was in love.

A couple days later I get a text from this other guy I was suppose to be weighting around for.
He said that he wanted to talk to me.

Michael agreed and wanted me to talk to him also,
so much so that he dropped me off to go talk to him.

We went and talked and he began to tell me how he has been stupid not to date me from the beginning and how he hopes he didn't ruin anything and that he wants to start dating me.

I wanted to scream.

I could not believe what I was hearing.

I was hoping he was going to tell me he had met someone else also, but he didn't.

I knew in my heart that Michael was who I was suppose to be with
I was falling in love with him and this other guy was one of my close friends
I didn't want to hurt him and I knew we wouldn't be able to be friends after this,
but I had to let him know where my heart was.

I broke his heart.  I also happened to be the only girl that has broken his heart.

Once I left his place Michael was there to pick me up.

I know that must sound funny...
my future husband dropping my off to break up with my boyfriend.

After that night we were inseparable.
I mean we never went one day apart.
Until Thanksgiving came along.

We decided that it would be good to spend that week apart.
In away we wanted to see if we would miss each other.

OH MY... it hurt so bad how much I missed him and it was only for a week!

Once we got back to school we decided that we were not going to spend that many days apart again,
so that next day he bought me a plain ticket for my birthday to Oregon to be with him after christmas.

I was so nervous though.
This would be the first time meeting his family.

Thankfully his family is a lot like my family, so it was not hard for me to get to know them.
even though I was still pretty shy and didn't talk much.
everything still went good and I loved his family. I had so much fun
meeting everyone and meeting some of his friends also.

A couple months went by of us dating and we got to the stage where you start talking about marriage.
I told him he better purpose sometime in March or April.
I wanted to have a summer wedding, so he needed to get on it so I could start planning...
but really I just wanted to be engaged to the man of my dreams.

The end of March was coming and still no sign of him purposing,
so I  accepted the fact that it would probably happen in April.

On March 25, 2011 I got the surprise of my life!

My best friend, the love of my life got on one knee and purposed to me.
It was my perfect surprise!

5 months later on August 12, 2011 we were married and sealed in the Portland Oregon Temple.

Here's to the beginning of our perfect love story as Mr. & Mrs. Nelson

THE FINAL WEEK

How far along?    39 weeks We are in the final week ladies and gents!! Maternity clothes? Only a few shirts  and a dress. Other than that I just wear leggings, dresses, and some of Michaels shirts. Stretch marks? Not a single one thank goodness! When I was in school I learned in my  Anatomy  and Physiology class that if you start putting on shay butter/coconut oil(I used the Palmers cocoa butter and sometimes add my 100% coconut essentials oil.) two months before getting pregnant, that it will help your skin loosen and become more elastic.  So once we decided to start trying I  immediately  got some lotion and put it on every other day(or you can put it on everyday).  I know that, that is what helped me not get any stretch marks. I cant  guarantee  it will work for everyone, but what I do know is that if you don't start lotioning your skin early, it for sure will not be ready for the  drastic  change that is about to happen. Sleep? I have actually

ANNIVERSARY # 3

If I had my life to live over again, I would find you sooner so that I could love you longer.  Happy Anniversary Michael. I love you so much.  You are my greatest adventure. I couldn't imagine life without you!   This is the beautiful rose I came home to after work! My husband truly is the best.  Little things like this let me know that he is thinking about. In a marriage I feel it is so vital to let your spouse know in anyway you want,  but to just let them know you are thinking of them and that you love them. I made this cutie some yummy breakfast in bed.... .......... After work we headed over to Pizza Pie Cafe in Bountiful. We know its not a typical dinner date for an anniversary, but we LOVE Pizza Pie. They have the best oreo pizza in the world. Seriously though it is one of my favorite places to eat! After our wonderful dinner at Pizza Pie, we headed up the mountain to go shoot our new gun. We had to get ther
