A TRIP TO SUNRIVER

We finally made it to Bend after a ten and a half hour trip in the car!

Sense we showed up a day early we wanted to camp out for the night,
so we headed to sisters where we found and opening for a tent site.

Pretty view from our tent
Once we got all set up and ready for the night.
we headed to the main st. of Sisters to find a place to eat,
sense we did not bring any food with us for camping.
While walking around and exploring all the little shops there we found this cute Mexican Restaurant

The food was very good.

They even grow their own mint!

After dinner we got some huckleberry ice cream and headed back to camp
to enjoy the river that was by our campsite.

After camping for a night we headed into Bend to go shopping for supplies for the week long vacation in Sunriver.
As you can see we know how to shop at Costco.

After shopping we headed to the house that Michaels mom rented in Sunriver
and got the place stocked up with all the food we got.
Once his family got there the fun began.
While we were camping in Sisters Michael and I both happened to get nominated for
the Ice Bucket challenge.
Michael by his friend Eric Dickson
&
Me by my cousin Trevor Hyer
So our first night in Sunriver with Michaels family, we had them dump ice water on us
so we could complete this challenge.
here is the video of us

............
Our next fun adventure in Sunriver was a day at Cultus Lake.

The water was so clear.

You could see everything.

In this picture it actually looks like the wave Runner is on the rocks,
but we were actually about 2 to 3 feet deep right there.

I just love him.

For the rest of the time at the lake we got to enjoy the nice warm water on our feet.

Cultus Lake is such a pretty place.

............

Michael and his dad got to head back out onto the lake the next day to go fishing with a guide.

They both caught a lot fish and had a great time out on the lake.

Once they got back form fishing we headed out to dinner ti this cute place by the river.

I had a delicious Blue Cheese Wedge Salad.

Michael had a seafood pasta dish and at the bottom of we discovered
2 little octopuses!

Michael and his dad both had one.

I don't think I could bring my self to eat one of those.

After a wonderful dinner in Bend

We went for a bike ride around sunriver.

Pretty view from the bridge.

We love to ride bikes and Sunriver is the perfect place ride bikes,
there at bike paths all of.

..........

On Thursday we got to go hike in the Lava tube cave.

Michael and I have been caving before in Rexburg in the Ice Caves,
so we were excited to see what this cave was like.

It was a really big cave and had very high ceilings for most of the way

It also stays 42 degrees in the cave year round,
so if you ever go be sure to bring jackets and close toed shoes.

here are some pictures we were able to get with the help of flashlights.

Some places in the cave got so small we could touch the top.

We made it to the end.

The last little bit that we could not go through is crawling
space so they do not want people going back that far.

............

On our last day in Sunriver we went for a hike to Benham Falls.

We love to go on hikes.

There is so much to see and so many pretty views to discover.

I love this guy so much

The tops of the falls are behind us.

The black rocks you see on the other side of the river are lava rocks from the volcano
It was so cool to see one side covered in green with trees everywhere
and on the other side black rocks with no trees.

We had a great last day in Sunriver.
..........
Also while in Sunriver we played Scum every night.
And on our last night and last round of Scum I finally became King,
so next time we all get together to play Scum I get to be King and Michael gets to be Queen.
Sunriver is the perfect place to relax for a week and have some fun with family.
We had such a great time
Thanks for the fun Vacation Nelson Family!

Two Down and Eternity to Go

This year we decided to do something simple for our anniversary  All I knew for this anniversary is that we were going to eat somewhere in downtown Salt Lake.   To my surprise I have the most brilliant husband ever because he took me to my most favorite restaurant ever!!    Cheesecake Factory!  Don't ask me why, but it is the best restaurant ever! I know you might be thinking.  "wow this girl is crazy",  but just trust me nothing can beat The Cheesecake Factory.   My favorite's there are:  Avocado eggrolls and sweetcorn tamale cakes for appetizers.   For the dinner plate their garlic noodles with shrimp and some parmesan on top.  Then of course for dessert I love love love there ultimate red velvet cheesecake and their Oreo one is pretty good as well. Anytime we go somewhere new and they have a cheesecake factory we have to go.   It is my goal to go to as many as I can in my li...

OUR LITTLE PUMPKIN IS DUE MAY 9, 2015

Yup you read that right we are having a baby, May 9, 2015!! I surprised Michael by sending him a picture of my pregnancy test. So when he woke up that was the first thing he saw. I did the same with my mom because I needed her guidance on what I needed to do. It was defiantly killing her to not be able to tell anyone the news, but I definitely appreciate all the advice I have gotten as well as another person to talk to about it. We were so excited when we found out, we just wanted to tell everyone right away, but we waited and learned patience. I would have been so heart broken to have to tell everyone if we had a miscarriage. When we found out I was pregnant, I was 5 weeks along, so for my first appointment they had to take a blood test.  For those of you who know me, know that I do not do well  with needles and veins in the same sentence. As you can imagine I did not do well.   I kept moving an...
