A Valentin in Portland

I was so excited for Valentines this year because I actually had planned something cool to do for Michael!  We happened to be in Oregon for Valentines again this year because Michaels parents were in Hawaii for the week so we were holding down the fort.  It was a lot of fun! So the morning of Valentines day I got up at like 2:00 a.m. to get the room ready for Michaels surprise. This is what I did.  I got some balloons numbered them and put notes in all of them.  I did 4-14 balloons for the 14 days leading up to Valentines the 1,2 & 3 was on the card I got him.  So on the card it listed 3 complaints about him instead of compliments.  Example: 1. You are to cute. Seriously you distract me. Sometimes I stare at your butt and I am afraid I will walk into a glass door or something(that was the one on the car). Then I wrote on the card that every hour he needed to pop a balloon, but in order starting with 4, to then get another complaint from me.  Oh...

Super Bowl

For the Super Bowl this year we are tagging a long with Ben and Rachel and headed to Rachel's mom's house in Heber for the weekend. On Saturday we went to the Ice Castles that were in Midway, which touches Heber, so we decided it would be a good idea to go because towns get selected to host the Ice Castles and this is the 3rd time midway was selected, so we thought we better go because it might not come back again. Once we got there we had to hop into a huge line that did go pretty fast but while we were waiting there were some guys juggling fire torches and also two guy carving ice sculptures, the two they was working on were the seattle Seahawk's hawk and the Denver Bronco's Bronco.  I was really cool to watch.  Once we got in to the Ice Castle we were frozen, we definitely did not dress right for the weather and we went at night so it was even more cold, but it was so cool because they had lights shinning on the ice and it would change different colors too.  Here ar...

A Christmas in Oregon

Before I get into our Christmas in Oregon I just want to post a picture of my families beautiful house all decorated for Christmas.  They got a real Christmas Tree this year! I am so jealous! I can't wait till we have our own home to put a Christmas Tree in. Before heading to Oregon we got to go see the Temple lights in Salt Lake... Our Christmas in Oregon was a lot of fun. We ended up doing a lot of things during our week and a half stay.  On Christmas Eve we had a fun family dinner that even included Christmas crackers(as in those things that have toys in the toilet paper rolls and are wrapped). They all had Australian Christmas Crowns in them also.  My favorite day of the year has finally come... Christmas!!! This is my first Christmas away from home, I was sad at first, but the Nelson's kept me pretty busy to help me now think about it.   Everyone for the most part woke up at the same time, so we all went down stairs and decided ...

We Did It...

I am not going to lie, graduation snuck up on me! One minute I am sitting in my High School English class and the next minute I am sitting in my cap and gown at my college graduation. I remember being told in High School by my parents to cherish every moment in High School and never wish for it to go by fast, especially in your senior year. Well you can probably guess what I did... I wished it away. I wanted High School to go by so fast. I felt that once I was out of High School, that that is when my life would begin. Oh how my parents were so right. Once I got into college I yearned to get my High School years back. Not that I wasn't having fun or learning what I was passionate about, I was missing the carelessness that you could have in High School and the group of friends to call up and hang out with, but I mostly missed the sports and all the teams I was a part of. So in college I decided I would try to take in every moment and become passionate in my school work and never t...
