Huntsman's Firework Celebration

For the past 4 years John Huntsman has put on an amazing
firework show for the 4th of July in Driggs, Idaho
my home town.

It always happens the Saturday before the 4th because
he is really good friends with the Melaleuca guy who puts on
the firework show in Idaho Falls, Idaho on the 4th.

I have been fortunate enough to make it to all 4 shows and Michael has been to 3.
Every year the firework show gets better and better.

Being locals we have figured out that if you go early in the morning you can rope off
a section for you family.  Instead of waiting tell 4 o'clock and maybe not getting a good spot.

So needless to say we got an awesome spot.

After setting up we all had a family breakfast at my grandmas and then headed
over to my cousins to find out where he is headed to for his mission.

After he opened his mission call we headed to Huntsman Springs.

we got there at 4 and they had a talent show going on.
It came down to two people, a guy who beat boxed and a girl who sang.
we got to break the tie by sending in a text. with or vote I voted for the girl
because she has such a pretty voice and she did end up winning.

Well it so turned out that on sunday we had 2 people lined up to take back to Utah
and the girl that won the talent show happened to be one of them.
What are the odds haha.

Well after the talent show we headed up to the food vendors and got in line for
some roasted corn covered in mayonnaise, parmesan, and lime chile powder.

It sounds completely disgusting, but trust me it is the most delicious thing to have at a
concert, fair or farmers market(that is where they normally have them).

Beautiful day.

Beautiful view of the Tetons that night.

Oh Halie!

........

Once we got back to our spot the piano wars started.
They had us text them songs we wanted to hear.

Once of my favorite things to do is to just sit and relax and listen to music.
The piano pieces were beautiful and they played so many fun songs.

Next up was the BEACH BOYS!!
This is there second year coming and I was definitely okay with that!
Their music is perfect to listen to in the summer, especially sense
we are headed to cali in a few day, so it definitely got us in the mood to get to the beach.

Once it got dark enough the firework show began.

in between the fireworks going off they had a slide show going.
It was about our great country and how we fought for our freedom
and also a tribute to the soldiers who fought for us.

Seriously it is one of THE best 4th of July tributes I have ever seen!

Over all we had a pretty amazing Saturday in Driggs with all of my amazing family!

I was able to record all of the firework show in clips, so enjoy

A THANKSGIVING FULL OF FAMILY & LAUGHTER

I was so excited when I found out my family was able to go to Moses Lake for Thanksgiving! Tualatin is only 4.45 hours away from Moses Lake, so once they said they said they were going,  Michael and I were definitely going too. We had so much fun with the family, but missed Kelsey and her husband a lot! Hopefully next holiday season they will be able to get more time off from the Marines. So one of the nights we were there we all played Heads Up (The app game Ellen Degeneres made that is like charades.)  We seriously all about pee'd our pants we were dying of laughter! By far one of the funnest game nights I have had in a while!  I was able to catch a few of them on video, but I definitely missed the funniest ones. Here is a look at our crazy and awesome family! Justin and Dad Michael and Uncle Corby Seriously though if you are looking for something fun to do with a bunch of people, this is it my friends!! Do it. I absolu...

THINGS I LOVE

I feel it is so important to fall in love with as many things as we can, but to also fall in love with as many people as we can. As I have gotten older I have started to love things I did not care about when I was younger. I have grown to appreciate what my Heavenly Father has given to me on this Earth. and I have learned that when you love, you serve others. Which is the pure love of Christ...  and that is what will bring true happiness into your world. I am going to make a list throughout my life of things that I have fallen in love with. I want to be remembered as someone who loved everything and everyone. I want my kids to be able to know what I loved and that serving and loving everything is one of the  greatest gifts we have to become truly happy in this world. .......... Super Bowl

For the Super Bowl this year we are tagging a long with Ben and Rachel and headed to Rachel's mom's house in Heber for the weekend. On Saturday we went to the Ice Castles that were in Midway, which touches Heber, so we decided it would be a good idea to go because towns get selected to host the Ice Castles and this is the 3rd time midway was selected, so we thought we better go because it might not come back again. Once we got there we had to hop into a huge line that did go pretty fast but while we were waiting there were some guys juggling fire torches and also two guy carving ice sculptures, the two they was working on were the seattle Seahawk's hawk and the Denver Bronco's Bronco.  I was really cool to watch.  Once we got in to the Ice Castle we were frozen, we definitely did not dress right for the weather and we went at night so it was even more cold, but it was so cool because they had lights shinning on the ice and it would change different colors too.  Here ar...
